New year, new rankings! With playoffs right around the corner teams are starting to separate themselves from the pack. Here is the fourth edition of the OMHA U16 and U18 AAA Rankings and Players to Watch presented by Hudl.
U16 AAA Rankings
Players to Watch
Evan Bannister (Credit River Capitals): The current points leader in the OMHA this season, the Capitals forward has solidified himself as a top prospect in this upcoming OHL Priority Selection. Bannister is one of the most physical players in the age group, looking to finish every check when he’s out there on the ice, and is always looking to impose his will onto the game.
The captain for the Capitals, Bannister is also a highly-gifted offensive player with a potent release and impressive hockey IQ, producing at an very high level for Credit River this season. He will be attending the Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects game later this month in Peterborough.
Andrew Laurin (Quinte Red Devils): Has been an important piece to the Quinte Red Devils this season. The winger is one of the most dynamic forwards in the OMHA, and Laurin has an OHL-calibre shot that is accurate and precise, using it to terrorize goaltenders.
The Devils forward is also a great forechecker, using his long reach to pick off passes, as well as setting up his teammates for high-quality scoring chances. Laurin will also be attending the Connor McDavid OHL Top Prospects game later this month in Peterborough.
U18 AAA Rankings

Cameron Monk (Ajax-Pickering Raiders): One of the most prolific offensive players in all of U18 this season, Ajax-Pickering Raiders forward Cameron Monk has been the engine that has led the team to yet another historic regular season in the OMHA.
A draft pick of the Soo Greyhounds, Monk is a complete winger that plays in all situations for the Raiders, a physical force on the forecheck and against opposing teams, and is also a unique offensive player that can produce points in multiple different fashions. He tallied a pair of goals and an assist in this past week’s OMHA U18 AAA All-Star game.
Miller Bryan (Hamilton Steel): A team that has been getting hot at the right time, the Steel currently sit atop of the OMHA West standings, and a large part of that success has been the play of forward Miller Bryan, who is currently tied for the team lead in points.
Centering one of the most productive lines in the OMHA this season, Bryan plays a complete 200-foot game for the Steel. He plays a hard-nosed game, does all the little things around the ice to makes his teammates around him better, and is a smooth offensive touch around the net as both as a playmaker and a scorer.
