OMHA-AAA is proud to announce a partnership with
Heroic Minds.
Heroic Minds is a community of certified health professionals sharing education with the seamless opportunity to connect, book sessions, and join sessions all in one place. Heroic Minds is taking a bold step forward in how we educate, connect, and empower athletes. They are shifting the narrative around well-being to one that is engaging, innovative, and inviting.
Heroic Minds offers athletes a private and secure place to find the right support for them. From engaging education, to initial private messages, to secure video calls, athletes know where to go. This resource offers support for anxiety, depression, relationships, concussion, addiction, career transition and more.
Ben Fanelli, Chief Visionary Officer of Heroic Minds states; "Our mission at Heroic Minds is to reinvent the self-help process in a bold and innovative way. During my time with the Kitchener Rangers (OHL), I had access to support when I needed it. We want to ensure all current players and staff have support when they need it. We are growing into many minor and major sporting leagues. I would not call it a culture shift; I would call it, keeping up with the times and improving how we empower fellow human beings"
"This is another example of how OMHA-AAA is differentiating themselves in the elite level of minor hockey. With the pressure placed on our young athletes to aspire to the next level, Heroic Minds is a wonderful and economic resource for the players, coaches and parents to develop coping skills, mental strength and overall personal growth" commented Daryl Holmes, President, OMHA-AAA.
Heroic Minds will be attending the U15 and U16 showcases this year to further introduce Heroic Minds to all. Discounted access to Heroic Minds is being provided across all OMHA-AAA associations.
