Hockey dreams took a major stride forward on the weekend as Ontario Minor Hockey Association players were chosen in the 2025 Ontario Hockey League’s Priority Selection, including three in the first round.
Brock Chitaroni, a forward from the Barrie Jr. Colts, led all OMHA players as the third overall pick by the Ottawa 67's.
The OMHA saw 61 selections, with the York-Simcoe Express leading with eight picks, followed by the Barrie Jr. Colts and Oakville Rangers with seven each.
The draft was completed over two days, with the first three rounds on Friday evening and rounds four to fifteen taking place on Saturday morning.
