Jr. Colts Make Their Move in AAA Rankings
With just a few weeks of regular season games left in the calendar, here's where things stand.

Players to Watch

Benjamin Veitch (York-Simcoe Express):
A nightmare for opposing teams to try and defend. He has a great combination of size, strength and skill. Along with being a highly competitive player, defenders do not want to see him leading a forecheck. Veitch isn't afraid of contact and he uses his body well to separate pucks, but also to protect pucks when it is on his stick. He continually wins his battles and gets inside whereby he works to space well. If given any time, he will bury one by a goalie.

Colton D'Amico (Halton Hurricanes): A steady defender that can be utilized in all situations. He skates well and so he is able to close space defensively. D'Amico also has good anticipation and positioning so he can pick off passes or create turnovers. When inside the offensive zone, he moves along the blueline well laterally, keeping his head up looking for shooting/passing lanes which he is very good at exploiting. Whether up a goal or down a goal, D'Amico will be relied upon to eat some big minutes and lead from the back end.

Players to Watch

Kale Mace (North Shore Whitecaps):
High compete, skilled forward who plays with pace. He impacts the game at both ends of the ice and shows a well rounded game. A fifth round selection of the OHL's Barrie Colts who is currently pacing the Whitecaps offence.

Connor Hollebek (Barrie Jr. Colts): Determined, gritty winger that plays a compete game. He's best down low and playing hard, honest, chips in offence thanks to his work ethic and strength. A dots down type of player who leads the Jr. Colts in points.
