Credit River Capitals- Gold Winners Ontario Winter Games
The U14 AAA Credit River Capitals added to their list of accomplishments by winning the gold medal at the 2024 Ontario Winter Games in Thunder Bay this past weekend. Capturing the gold medal comes on the heels of their second, and back to back, West Conference OMHA-AAA titles.
Despite outshooting their opponent 33-24 in the opening game of the weekend, the Caps fell 6-2 to the Northwest Explorers of the HNO. This would be the extent of their struggles as the team went undefeated for the rest of the competition with wins over Team NOHA 1-0, Ottawa Myers Automotive 7-6, Northwest Explorers 3-2 and finally a 3-2 win over Team NOHA in the gold medal game.
Congratulations to the players, staff and parents on a successful weekend and proudly representing the OMHA-AAA league and Ontario Minor Hockey Association.
